The secoide.com website
It has no forms, accounts or cookies. Like any web server, our hosting provider may record technical data for each visit (IP address, date, requested page and browser) in its access logs, for security and operation. We don't use that data to identify you and we don't share it.
TraduCoide (Windows and Chrome)
- Text you translate: to translate it, the app sends the selected or typed text to Google's translation service (Google Translate). Secoide never receives or stores that text. Google handles it under its own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
- What isn't sent: nothing is sent when the selection has no letters, and recent translations are reused instead of being requested again.
- Data stored on your device: settings and translation history. On Windows they live in
%APPDATA%\TraduCoide; in Chrome, in the extension's local storage. They are deleted when you remove that folder or uninstall the extension. - Extension permissions: it reads the text you select on web pages to show the bubble, stores your settings and connects only to
translate.googleapis.com. - Windows app: it listens for keyboard shortcuts and mouse selections to know when to translate, and uses the clipboard to copy or replace text. It does not log what you type.
StreamCoide (Android)
- What it connects to: only OBS Studio on the computer you specify (IP and port), usually on your Wi-Fi network, through OBS's WebSocket server. It doesn't connect to Secoide or third-party servers.
- Data stored on the phone: the IP, port and password of the OBS WebSocket server, so you don't have to type them every time. They're deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data.
- What it doesn't do: it collects no personal data, has no accounts, ads or analytics, and never sends anyone your scenes, the preview or anything it controls.
- Permissions: network access only, needed to talk to OBS.
Children
Our apps don't collect personal data from anyone, including minors.
